Ireland Lights Up

The GAA’s popular ‘Ireland Lights Up’ walking initiative returned in January 2025 in partnership with "Get Ireland Walking" AND the new "40 Day Health Challenge TV series".

Ireland Lights Up (ILU) encouraged GAA clubs across the 32 counties to turn on their floodlights and open their walking tracks to facilitate local communities to come together to walk and talk in a safe environment during the long dark evenings of winter.

NOTE: The Ireland Lights up inititative only extends over the duration of the 40 Day Health challenge TV show broadcast (January to March)

We (Vision Independent Production, the company that produced the Operation Transformation Series for RTÉ) were delighted with the public interest and participation in our new 40 Day Health Challenge TV show which was streamed in weekly episodes to the nation in partnership this year with Classic Hits FM and the Sun newspaper.

Rather that shut the project down until next year, we have put together a way for anyone to subscribe to their own personal 40 Day Health Challenge and share with the nation.
